Here are three things Amidlife Traveler podcast likes about Killarney :

1) Surrounded by natural beauty!
Honestly just beautiful. Stunning nature that co-exists with a charming Irish town. With many active adventure and sports things to do, Killarney National Park is Ireland’s old national park and that’s just the start. Active  travelers, adventure travelers and sports enthusiasts can enjoy nature through many opportunities for hiking, biking, kayaking, walking, plus golf.

2) The town itself… Killarney center.
Lovely Victorian era town with all of the modern conveniences amidst charm. Lots of pubs, music, shopping opportunities, excellent food and friendly people.

3) A great home base to have while you explore surrounding areas
Killarney can be a home base where you have convenience of staying at the same hotel (no moving, packing & unpacking) but over a few days enjoy very different experiences through day tours by bus that visit  surrounding nature areas such as the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Penninsula orthe Gap of Dunloe.
