 WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF THE
 HUMAN VOICE AND STORY COMBINED.

  • We believe that sometimes stories are better when told and heard first hand than what a travel blogger wrote in dear diary style article or list.

  • We believe in talking to the locals when you travel. They are gems (usually).

  • We believe in autheticity. Face it, learning about the Scottish kilt is much more fascinating directly from the voice of a Scotsman wearing a kilt than some lady on a vacation telling the story later.

  • We want to build a library of travel stories.

  • We want real stories, told by real people.

We are Amidlife Traveler.  Amid Life.  Traveler.

Here, we share stories told in voices of people who travel and the voices of locals who live in the places you might want to travel to.    Our humble beginnings started with a Scotsman in Scotland, then continued into Ireland from the Irish, and recently expanded women’s travel stories.  Who knows what will be next? The future is open, and so are we. 

  • Amid Life Traveler = a state of being
    It is an awareness, openness to life expeeriences around you in that moment.   
  • A Midlife Traveler = someone who is in their mid-life years by age
    And well, you like to or want to travel (never too late, go do it!)

At Amidlife Traveler, we want YOU to go see the world. Discover interesting stories about people, places, and practical advice to help you plan your next vacation.

The Amidlife Traveler is both a travel resource blog and a travel podcast channel.  We have multiple podcast series sharing destinations through the voices, stories & opinions of locals who live there or travelers who’ve been there.  You’ll hear about  Scotland from a Scotsman, Ireland from the Irish, plus practical tips to help plan your next vacation.
