Allie is a busker, she performs music on the streets of Ireland in both Dublin and Cork, singing her heart out for the love of music. And, she has become an internet sensation with over 8 million views of her YouTube videos and 84,000 followers to her Facebook page. Allie even turned down an opportunity to go to the US and be in on the Ellen Degeneres show in summer of 2017… but we’re thrilled that she spoke us and that we can share her music and her story with you. (Post edit update: Allie DID finally take that opportunity to be on The Ellen Show, she appeared on Jan. 27, 2018 and you will find links below to watch the show clips).

This podcast shares a rare interview with Irish singer and musician Allie Sherlock and her Dad at one of Allie’s live street music performances in Cork, Ireland. If you listen to the end, you will discover how Allie started in music by taking guitar lessons with her dad, plus hear who Allie’s musical influences are. When Allie first started guitar lessons, she was not allowed to sing with it.
Allie once turned down the opportunity to fly to the US and be on the Ellen Degeneres show.
Allie performs in Dublin, Cork, and also for events such as weddings.
